Sometimes when you struggle with the big stuff, doing little stuff helps. Something completely random. Like paint on rocks. Rocks have zero expectation.
I have a wee problem at the moment. I'm currently waiting for an arthritis splint for a finger on my painting hand. The joint hurts like a hot damn if there is any pressure on it ie. pick up a mug, pour a kettle... you know, hard labour.
I have high hopes staked on a little piece of silver I've ordered called a Swan Neck Splint which should stabilize it. I can paint but holy holy holy... I pay for it. I am sure it will be much better and back to painting as normal once that errant knuckle is caged in a pretty little silver thingy.
Meanwhile, I am experimenting with collage and, evidently, doodling on beach stones. Maybe I should do a rock series...
